About the event

We know how important goal setting is, but it seems that day-to-day life gets in the way, leaving us trying to cross off a never-ending to do list. It's time to flip the script and empower ourselves to achieve our goals without the burnout that often comes with trying to do it all. The Junior Women's League of Smithfield's second Women @ Work Conference, scheduled for Saturday, March 9, will be a power-packed morning full of sessions designed to empower and invigorate attendees.

The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Nicole Cranley, PhD. Dr. Cranley is a published behavioral scientist with a focus on communication, burn out and self efficacy. She is also the author of The Doctorette (Lifestyle Blog) and host of The Mad Hattresses Podcast.

Attendees will attend three breakout sessions hosted by guest speakers in addition to the keynote address. Breakout sessions are hosted by:

Frieda Clark - Senior VP Atrium Health Medical Group - Regional Physician Networks

The morning will also include a light breakfast, three breakout sessions on topics relevant to today's woman, and a light lunch provided by Chefella's Cafe and Event Planning, with decor provided by Plume Events. Women @ Work is open to the public, and tickets are available for $20. They will be on sale from Thursday, January 17th until Friday, February 22nd. All attendees will receive one entry in our drawing for a Cultivate What Matters Prize Pack, which is valued at $100. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased for $5.00 in advance or at the event.

JWL's Women @ Work Conference is for women who are working inside the home, outside the home, in their communities, or in their hearts to make the world a better place. This is an opportunity for women to come together to revive their spirits and gain insight from each other to live their best lives everyday. Women @ Work is sure to be an exciting and engaging event for women of all ages.

MORE ABOUT DR. NICOLE CRANLEY:

Dr. Nicole M. Cranley is a behavioral scientist with a Ph.D. in public health and an M.S. in psychology. Her research has been published in multiple national and international, peer-reviewed journals, and featured by several media outlets including, The Wall Street Journal, Verily Magazine, and PsyBlog.

After completing an intensive postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Cranley’s passion is sharing cutting edge research in communication, burnout, resilience, and self-efficacy to help people feel and perform better in their daily lives.

Presently, Dr. Cranley works as an epidemiological consultant to several Fortune 100 and 500 companies, providing assistance with several multi-million dollar research and development projects. She is also the blogger behind the lifestyle blog, The Doctorette, as well as the host of The Mad Hattresses Podcast.

She lives at her home in Durham, N.C. with her husband Nathan and her dog Loki.

    General Admission ticket price for JWL's 2019 Women @ Work Conference is $20.00. The cost of your ticket includes a keynote presentation by independent research consultant Dr. Nicole Cranley, three breakout sessions with celebrated women leaders, and a light breakfast and lunch.
