The Junior Women's League of Smithfield established the JWL Scholarship in 2019 to advance our mission of fostering women's leadership by empowering young women in our community to achieve their full academic potential. The Grants and Scholarship Committee is dedicated to recognizing outstanding young women in the Johnston County community who demonstrate a strong commitment to personal growth, supporting others, and making a meaningful impact through academic excellence, volunteerism, and community involvement.

The scholarship is made possible by generous donations from community members and sponsors. To date, JWL has awarded $7,000 in scholarships to 11 young women residing in Johnston County. If you are interested in making a donation for a future JWL Scholarship, please contact jwlsmithfield@gmail.com.
